Hey y'all! Let's all take a timeout and celebrate some mushy stuff. 1) You! I want to say a big THANK YOU! for following this here blog thingy and coming back every day to talk about absolutely nothing while eating some food. It's been almost two years now yet, in the words of Bryan Adams, "It still feels like our first time together..." (errrrr). Well, anyway— Mwah! That's for you.
And 2) It's almost my first Mother's Day! [Insert Twilight Zone music.] Craaaazzzyy. Who'da thunk it?!
So, in celebration, I'm giving away this cutesy-putesy mini heart springform pan. You can make your own mama some cheesecake, a tart, quiche maybe? Or a decadent chocolate cake for your lovah next V-Day? Nothing says I love you like a heart-shaped quiche...you know it.
And to boot, I've got a surplus of chocolate I want to get rid of. Some all-natural dark chocolate with sea salt, dark chocolate with chili & lime, and milk chocolate with honey & green tea. You wouldn't think such ingredients would work together but man, you'd be wrong.
To win this lovely package, please leave a comment before the end of Friday, April 30. (I'll pick one random winner on Saturday, May 1 and have it in the mail by Monday!) Tell me what special happenings you have planned for this Mother's Day...maybe my Lovah will read this and find some inspiration.
Ready, set, go!
I think I should reciprocate the thank you because I love how your blog makes me laugh :)I am planning a bridal shower for my sister-in-law the day before Mother's Day and the husband has decided he is going to take over on Sunday and have the whole family over and make all of the males do the work. He says that even though I'm not a mom, I am his caregiver and he'd like to show his appreciation.

well this will be my second Mothers Day (my son is 14 months old) and my fantastic plan is running a half-marathon! Not only that, but I will be almost exactly 3 months prego at the time. I know, crazy, huh? It's early in the morning, so afterward I can go out to lunch with my family and eat to my hearts content! really looking forward to it!

Sadly, I won't be with my mother for mother's day, I'll be away on a 2 week field course in biology. I'm planning on going for dinner and shopping with her some time before I leave.

It will also be my 2nd mother's day. My monster is 13 months. We will be attending a 4 year old's birthday followed by nice wine and dinner from my husband. I have to say though, the chocolate should go to Sally. A half marathon, three months pregs, and a 14 month old? Seriously? I am exhausted from my little guy alone. I am impressed and in awe.

A mother's day, all I can think of is baking my mom's favorite cake and bring her out for a nice dinner in a fancy restaurant. I think she'll be pleased with that.
And btw, thanks for visiting my blog. Yours is very nice and engaging...

Those World Market Chocolate bars are THE BEST. When someone told me to try a chili-lime chocolate bar I was like um...gross. But let me tell you, the combination is AMAZING. Pick me, pick me!
[fingers crossed]

Congratulations on your first mother's day and I'll be interested to see how the getting back in shape goes. I've been thinking about mommyhood, but I'll admit, I'm scared of losing my body! Ah!!!
